Scott McCord, AAMS®, BFA™
Investment Advisor Representative
Scott has been in the financial services industry for over 20 years and a financial advisor for the last 12 years. His high ethical standards, integrity and unique ability to build trust with his clients are why he continues to grow and have success! This intransigent moral compass has led to having a passion for Behavioral Financial Advisor™, BFA™, thus allowing for understanding the unique values of each one of his clients, guiding them through the ups and downs of their financial lives as well as keeping them focused on their financial goals both short and long term.
In addition to holding the BFA™ certification, Scott holds the Accredited Asset Management Specialist certification to further his understanding of financial assets. In addition to the AAMS®, BFA™, he holds series 7 and 66 licenses as well as Life, health and disability income insurance licenses.
Scott is married to his intellectual and spiritual ally, Heather, and they have two beautiful children: daughter, Meyer, age 9 and son, Grady, age 6.
When Scott is not focusing on his clients and family, he volunteers his time on the Peoria Public Schools Foundation board, Impact Peoria board, and Rotary of downtown Peoria board.
Heather McCord, CMA-CSCA
Earning both a BA, (majoring in International Business), and her MBA from Bradley University, Heather has utilized her training to serve countless businesses and clients. Heather is skilled in the areas of strategic, operational, and financial planning and analysis; forecasting and decision analysis; tax planning and preparation; strategic and business leadership; and strategy implementation and performance evaluation. Heather is adept at quickly assessing and analyzing current business practices and suggesting methods of improvement, streamlining processes, and implementing internal controls, as well as assisting small businesses to achieve cost efficiencies. With over 12 years of experience advising small businesses, managing a $20M+ budget, conducting in-depth market research and analysis, and teaching college-level international business classes, she brings yet another experienced, professional, and educated skillset to the Anthem Financial team. Holding a CMA and CSCA, and currently studying for the series 65 license, Heather reinforces the team's high ethical and integrity standards.
Heather is dedicated to both her family and her community and currently serves on Peoria Academy's board as Treasurer, the Peoria Ballet board, and as Assistant Clerk on the Greater Peoria Sanitary District board.
